“This is one of those tools that are simply a pleasure to use because it does what it was designed to with ease. They claim that this SDS drill can match a 2kg corded equivalent – they’re not exaggerating!
This will drill your wall plugs holes in literally 1-3seconds, and can even handle core drilling up to 68mm diameter holes. I’ve used it to drill holes for bath/shower waste pipes, and thought it would struggle, but it didn’t.
As a plumber I have to work in areas where there frequently isn’t a nearby plug, therefore cordless items are all the more useful to me, and of all the cordless tools I’ve bought this has definitely proved itself to be the most useful.
Battery life is good, but don’t think that it’ll last for ages just because it’s 36v. However it definitely lasts longer than those with lower voltage batteries.
If you register the product on-line you can get a 3 year warranty (takes about 5mins), which is very reassuring.

“Have had my Bosch SDS drill for 2 years now and never had any problems at all (Larger masonry drills do tend to jam at times but apart from that no worries. 2 x Li-ion batteries are enough when you consider you can charge a battery for 5 minutes just to drill a few holes when its flat (no memory so no ruining batteries). Most of all, it’s got rotostop so is brilliant for chasing and chiselling. Spend the extra few quid on this and you won’t be disappointed.“
