“What a tool!! – Quite honestly this is the best SDS Drill I have ever purchased. Anything you throw at it, it just takes it all in its stride.”

So what makes this Bosch SDS drill so highly recommended?

Well it is a 3-function Drill (Drill, hammer and chisel action) with new pneumatic hammer mechanism for super-fast drilling. How fast is “Super-fast”? well this SDS drill has the power to drill up to 150 holes with one battery charge and one tradesman claims “This will drill wall plug holes in 1 – 3 seconds”! Is that fast enough for you?

This Bosch SDS drill has:

•    Drill, Hammer Drill & Chisel action
•    2 x 2.0Ah Li-ion Batteries
•    1hr Charger
•    2-Speed
•    Mechanical Safety Clutch
•    Electric Brake
•    Replaceable Carbon Brushes

Plus it also comes with:

•    Auxiliary handle for added stability
•    Depth stop for accurate drilling
•    Carry case to keep all your swag in

But wait just read this recommendation…

“This is one of those tools that are simply a pleasure to use because it does what it was designed to with ease. They claim that this SDS drill can match a 2kg corded equivalent – they’re not exaggerating!

This will drill your wall plugs holes in literally 1-3seconds, and can even handle core drilling up to 68mm diameter holes. I’ve used it to drill holes for bath/shower waste pipes, and thought it would struggle, but it didn’t.

As a plumber I have to work in areas where there frequently isn’t a nearby plug, therefore cordless items are all the more useful to me, and of all the cordless tools I’ve bought this has definitely proved itself to be the most useful.

Battery life is good, but don’t think that it’ll last for ages just because it’s 36v. However it definitely lasts longer than those with lower voltage batteries.

If you register the product on-line you can get a 3 year warranty (takes about 5mins), which is very reassuring.

If having a cordless tool is more than just a nicety for you – then get it. You won’t be disappointed.

Strong words “You won’t be disappointed” but he is not the only tradesman to say this Bosch SDS drill could be the best in the world just read this…

“Have had my Bosch SDS drill for 2 years now and never had any problems at all (Larger masonry drills do tend to jam at times but apart from that no worries. 2 x Li-ion batteries are enough when you consider you can charge a battery for 5 minutes just to drill a few holes when its flat (no memory so no ruining batteries). Most of all, it’s got rotostop so is brilliant for chasing and chiselling. Spend the extra few quid on this and you won’t be disappointed.

So is this Bosch SDS drill the best?

Well these tradesmen all seem to think so and in many cases have been using it for many years. Enough said if you want to get this Bosch SDS drill click here now!

Buy your Bosch SDS hammer drill and save £100 Now!I have had lots of people ask “What is the difference between an SDS drill and a hammer drill” so I thought I would share this with you.

What is the difference between a hammer drill and an SDS drill?

Hammer drill or drill/driver

A Bosch hammer drill (well any hammer drill) is the same as your normal drill, with the addition of a hammering action to help you drill in to brick or other hard material and the chuck is the usual type which clamps or grips the drill bit in the chucks jaws up to ½ inch.

You can select to turn your hammer drill action on or off on your Bosch hammer drill to suite the job or material which you are drilling into. The drills hammering action is created from a set of cams which pushes the hammer drills chuck back and forth very fast as you use the drill.

The hammer action on a hammer drill is based on Blows Per Minute (BPM) and the most common BPN is 10,000 or more.

A hammer drill however does have its limits and this is because there is only so much energy the hammer action, the chuck and the drill bit can produce together to drill into harder materials and you will find that most hammer drill are restricted to only been able to drill using normal masonry drill bits which are no bigger than1/2” in diameter.

SDS drill (rotary hammer)

The SDS drill bit was developed by Bosch in 1975 and the name comes from the German “Steck – Dreh – Sitz” (Insert – Twist – Stay) but Bosch uses “Special Direct System” for international purposes.

The Bosch SDS drill really picks up where your hammer drill leaves off and a Bosch SDS drill is a real bad boy and is able to tackle anything you put in front of it.

Think of it this way, a normal hammer drill is like a 10 year old trying to punch out a heavy weight boxer what you need is a Mike Tyson power punch and that is what a 24v Bosch SDS  drill delivers.

It has a far superior hammer action and sends hundreds of times more energy for each hammer blow.

But with this much more power it means your drill bits need to be able to cope with it. So the Bosch SDS drill has a different type of chuck which holds the drill bits better to stop them slipping in the chuck and the SDS drill bits are able stand the force of the extra hammer action produced by your Bosch SDS drill.

The SDS drill also has the advantage of a simple spring-loaded chuck, which means you SDS drill bits can be griped in chuck with a simple and quick twist of the hand. Remember… Insert – Twist – Stay?

The Bosch SDS drill (in fact most SDS hammer drills) will outperform any hammer drill but let’s face it Bosch developed this format so who would you trust when it comes to buying an SDS drill? So if need an SDS drill get your hands on this Bosch SDS drill (24V) today and save £100!

Review….

“I bought this Bosch SDS drill because my old Black and Decker would have cost more to repair than buying a new drill! And as all my other tools are Bosch I wanted to complete the set.

Once out of the box my first thoughts where good the drill has a solid feel to it, the two batteries and charger are a nice extra and the carry case has lots of room for holding bits I use most often, so I’m feeling rather smug with myself.

The first job for this new tool was to drill large hole through some VERY tuff brick work. The chuck is a pleasure no key and no messing just slip in the drill bit and you’re ready to go, switched it to hammer and… Let it rip. While my old dill strained to punch a hole in this kind of masonry the Bosch cut through it like a hot knife through butter.

Seems very powerful whilst at the same time I could control it with ease and I could really feel the hammer doing all the hard work for me… Top marks Bosch!”

“Have had this drill for over a month now and am very pleased with it. I had 24V Bosch’s before which were good drills and used many other brands comparable products. This drill has similar, if not more power than what previous drills had, but is so much lighter and compact. It is easy to hold and control single headedly at arm’s length, which is a real plus. I would recommend this drill to anyone.”

Is this Bosch SDS hammer drill a good deal or what? Well don’t take my word for it…

Outstanding value!

“What a great deal this is. £99 for a decent 3 function SDS hammer drill.

I bought this Bosch hammer drill for two reasons. As a backup to my other faithful Bosch SDS drill and also for chiselling work due to the fact that it’s considerably lighter than my cordless thus meaning extended periods of chiselling are less tiring.

The fact that it came with a cordless 12v drill driver is a bonus. OK, so it’s not the best cordless I’ve ever used and certainly isn’t well balanced but WTH! For a hundred quid you get BOTH!

It’s worth mentioning the charge time of the cordless driver. It took just over two hours to completely charge an empty battery. However, it should also be noted that when charged in a Bosch fast charger, it got a completely dead battery to full charge in SEVEN minutes!!!

Reliability is a difficult one to rate as I’ve not had it long and not abused it much. Based on my personal experience of Bosch drills in the blue range it’s got to be 5 stars“.

Good tool!

What a great tool. It chiselled the render off in no time and you could feel it had some guts about it. I would recommend it if only to chisel stuff off”
